About the event

Aims of the workshop: Understand the value of humour and how stand up comedy can enhance confidence, communication and creative thinking. We all want to feel well and enjoy life, and this workshop can help you gently unpack your life to maximise positive response and execution.

I’ve run a lot of women’s comedy workshops, and it’s great to see a lot more women standing up, and delivering on stage.

Therapists, journalists, accountants, doctors, teachers, poets, students, care workers, business owners, writers, performers, good old wanna-be stand up comedians, and many more have been to my classes. But there’s still more men than women learning the art of comedy writing and performing. I want to change this.

It’s clear that not everybody wants to be on the London Apollo stage, but I have learned that they do want to feel confident to stand up and be seen and heard. And of course, wellness features as high priority. In addition, having fun and laughing is at the heart of hopes and expectations when signing up for these classes.

So if you, or a women+ you know would like to join us in February for our second session of 2024, and how it can benefit you – please sign up.

We’ll talk/write/share/scream and get downright silly, and we will look at our good, bad and extraordinary life experiences.

What to expect:

• Activities to relax and get to know one another

• Prompts to generate ideas to create material

• Supportive spaces to share these
